Exhibition _Somi Lee X Salon de Kunst

Life sometimes feels like a game without a destination. We enter before learning the rules, our roles constantly shift, and we move between performer and audience, teacher and student, artist and human. Some encounters stay with us for a long time, while others quietly pass.

This exhibition marks the first chapter of a small experiment called Teacher Exhibition. It is an attempt to momentarily reverse roles and generations, and to revisit the people who became teachers in my life.

This exhibition begins with one of the most important mentors in my life. Having just retired this year after a long career as a professor at an art university, she never actually "taught" me "art." Instead, through the way she sustained her life and practice, and through the many roles she carried as a person, she embodied what it means to live as an artist.
