Exhibition _"Cultural Superhighway" Opening ceremony

Heekyung (Vera) Ryu is a Korean artist currently based in the Netherlands. Eight years ago, she was granted an artist visa in the Netherlands, and since then, she has been exploring various ways not only to survive but also to playfully engage with the dynamics of today’s economic system.

Recently, Vera opened a project space, “Salon de Kunst,” in Amsterdam. For the inaugural exhibition, she has chosen to connect with Korean artists she has ties to before expanding her focus to include more local artists. This decision reflects her ongoing effort to bridge the physical distance she has experienced and sought to reduce.
