About The Event
Che Go Eun (a.k.a. Chego)’s presence in this space marks their second exhibition here. Initially featured in Cultural Superhighway among nine invited artists, they are the first to return for another collaboration—an opportunity that brings great joy.
Having studied Korean painting in Korea, Chego continued their artistic journey through the Netherlands and Belgium. This year, however, they are closing their chapter in Europe after 10 years and returning to Korea, making this exhibition all the more significant. Their work explores the gaps between cultures, the complexities of communication shaped by historical and cultural differences, and the dynamics between Western contemporary art—rooted in European traditions—and perspectives on Eastern art. At the same time, Chego critically examines the ways in which female bodies and desires are objectified, particularly in online spaces.
